Ms. Amy Clough

           Amy has been a practicing specialist diagnostic Vascular Sonographer for over 25 years.

She has extensive experience in a vast range of clinical settings, from specialised vein clinics and vascular surgical practices to public and private radiology departments.

Amy is passionate about endovenous procedures for chronic venous insufficiency and has been at the forefront of introducing new endovenous procedural technologies and surgical techniques to Australia.

Amy is also a prolific technical writer having co-authored two vascular ultrasound textbooks, multiple book chapters and research papers. Her first textbook has been translated to French for the European market and is core reading for numerous world-wide University courses for Vascular Surgeons, Phlebologists  and Sonographers.

Amy’s protocol for scanning veins was accepted and published as the international gold standard by Union Internationale Phlebologie.

Amy is enthusiastic about Sonographer education and is a well-regarded and regular lecturer at ultrasound conferences.

Amy believes in a holistic approach to patient duty of care. She feels that her role entails performing accurate thorough diagnostic imaging as well as care of and compassion towards the patient’s individual needs.
